Erika Kane’s work explores innovative approaches to adaptive reuse and degrowth in architecture, aiming to integrate sustainable practices into interior design. In 2022, Erika earned the Sustainable Futures Thesis Award from RISD’s Interior Architecture department for her master’s thesis, Adaptive reduce: forging architectural futures through degrowth. Her thesis explores innovative ways to repurpose existing spaces and materials, challenging conventional notions of growth and consumption in the built environment.
